Selecting Plants

Plants are not all the same, and when planting your garden consideration should be taken into what your particular climate range is. Just because you see a particular plant for sale at your local nursery, does not necessarily mean it is well suited to your micro-climate. If you are living in a valley, your micro-climate will differ largely from those people living on a hill – even though you may be within sight of each other.

WaterWise Gardening

Watering your garden, should never be a mere matter of just slinging a bit of water about, making things wet. There must be a method to watering, as in actually getting the water to where it is needed, namely on the plants. Not on the drive-way, the side of the house, or left for the wind to carry away. Rather than a little bit of water every day of the week, a good soaking once a week, will be far more beneficial.
